Rep. Jim Jordan says Rep. Liz Cheney should be removed from No. 3 House GOP post after calling for Trump’s impeachment

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), one of Trump’s staunchest defenders on Capitol Hill, called Wednesday for the ouster of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from her role as the No. 3 House Republican leader after Cheney threw her support behind efforts to impeach the president.
“I think she’s wrong,” Jordan told reporters at the Capitol on Wednesday morning. Asked about the possible removal of Cheney as House Republican Conference chair, Jordan replied that House Republicans “ought to vote on that.”
On Tuesday night, Cheney became the highest-ranking Republican to announce her support for impeaching Trump.
