The Toledo High School boys wrestling team found plenty of success last Saturday at the eight-school Bill Hagerty Invitational meet at Nestucca High School, as did four Toledo girls wrestlers who competed the same day at the Liberty Invitational meet in Hillsboro.
Boomers senior Klaira Flatt battled her way to the championship of the 17-wrestler, 125 lbs. division at the Liberty tournament, winning five matches, all via pin. In the championship match, Flatt pinned Naumuondo OâDonnell of Hillsboro 26 seconds into the second period.
Also for the Boomer girls at the Liberty tournament, Kahrma Dawns placed sixth at 145 despite pulling out with an injury, Kiara Smith was 10th at 155 and Aria Simonds took eighth at 170.
