FAIRFIELD — Three people were injured in a head-on crash in Fairfield.
According to Fairfield Police Chief Thomas Gould, officers responded to the crash on the Norridgewock road in the area of Mae’s Way.
Investigators determined that a 2009 Ford F-150 was traveling south on Norridgewock Road while in the northbound lane. A 2014 Jeep Compass was traveling north on the Norridgewock Road and was unable to avoid the F-150.
The vehicles crashed head-on.
Chief Gould says three of the vehicle occupants were injured, with one being critical.
The crash is being reconstructed by the Maine State Police and will be reviewed by the district attorney’s office.
Charges are expected to follow.
Names are not being released at this time as police notify the families of those injured.
