Ted Cruz is having a rough few days in New York City.
In the midst of his month-long cross–country political tour ahead of the 2022 midterms and aa rumored 2024 presidential run, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) stopped in New York City — and was greeted exactly as you would expect.
His first stop was Yankee Stadium, where Cruz watched his home state’s Houston Astros defeat the Yankees to advance to the World Series last night. The New Yorkers in the crowd were not shy about letting Cruz know how they felt about his presence in their city. In a video posted online, you can hear the crowd shouting things like, “You racist piece of sh*t!” and “Go back to Cancún,” while also showering the senator with boos. In another video, a man can be heard yelling, “Remember when Trump called your wife ugly? … And then you nominated him?”
