Jon Scheyer got a chance to scout a prep with Duke basketball in his blood.
Duke basketball head coach-in-waiting Jon Scheyer had several reasons to attend the John Wall Holiday Invitational in Raleigh, N.C. On Tuesday, though, there’s little doubt he came away with a strong impression of Christopher Columbus (Fla.) freshman Cameron Boozer, a twin son to 2001 Blue Devil national champ and former 13-year NBA big man Carlos Boozer.
The other Boozer twin is Cameron’s teammate, Cayden, a promising prospect in his own right. Yet of the two, Cameron seems the most likely to earn a five-star rating.
Still, rankings and ratings for the 2025 class are more than a year from appearing on most major recruiting sites. However, some have noted that Cameron Boozer is a realistic candidate to wind up at No. 1 overall.
