Coronavirus vaccination clinics in Riverside and Lake Elsinore will close amid an ongoing shift to mobile vaccine teams that are better able to reach communities in need, Riverside County officials announced Friday, July 30.
Friday is the last day for the clinic at the former Sears building on Riverside’s Arlington Avenue, while the venue at the Outlets at Lake Elsinore will close Saturday, July 31. The Riverside location is moving and will later reopen, a county news release states.
Both clinics are run by Curative, a private contractor, in partnership with the county.
More than 2.4 million vaccine doses have been administered in the county and at least 56% of eligible county residents have been partially or fully vaccinated.
