Outlander’s Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish up for book award alongside Obama and Oprah

Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish have been nominated for an award alongside Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

Sam, 41, and Graham, 61, who co-wrote Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other have been nominated for an Audie Award alongside great company.

The awards are due to take place on March 4 and they celebrate the best titles in audio publishing and spoken-word entertainment, honouring a varied group of actors, musicians, and politicians.

Sam, from Dumfries, took to Twitter to share his delight at the nomination writing: “So proud the audible version of “Clanlands” has made it io the final of the #audieawards! Great company to keep huh
