Never forget, always combat hatred: Lessons of the Holocaust


It was just four days ago at a “Defeat the Mandates” anti-COVID vax rally at the Lincoln Memorial that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a dangerous conspiracy monger and vaccine foe, decried the difficulty in avoiding vax rules, moaning, “Even in Hitler’s Germany, you could cross the Alps to Switzerland. You could hide in an attic like Anne Frank did.” In truth, the Swiss turned back refugee Jews, as did America. Anne Frank and her family did hide until they were betrayed and sent to Auschwitz. Kennedy now says he’s sorry, but using the horrors of the Holocaust for his warped political argument — as Marjorie Taylor Greene and others routinely do — shows that even educated people remain ignorant.
