Meghalaya Cong leader named AICC in-charge of 3 NE states

NEW DELHI, Dec 23: Szarita Laitphlang, who has worked in various capacities in the Congress party both in Meghalaya and New Delhi, was on Wednesday appointed as All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary in charge of Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim.
Szarita, who joined the Indian National Congress at a very early age, is currently serving as the national media panellist of the AICC. She was one of the first female candidates to be shortlisted during the Talent Hunt for Indian Youth Congress (IYC) across India.
She has served in the AICC as election coordinator for various election-bound states as well as a war room planner and strategist and assistant returning officer for organisational elections for AICC.
