The future of four of Lincoln City’s loanees should be decided by the weekend, manager Michael Appleton has said.
Goalkeeper Alex Palmer (West Bromwich Albion), defender TJ Eyoma (Tottenham), midfielder Robbie Gotts (Leeds United) and Brennan Johnson (Nottingham Forest) are on season-long deals.
Those deals are being reviewed this month as parent clubs can only recall players during the transfer window.
However, the deadline for any recall of City’s loanees is looming.
The biggest question mark hangs over Johnson as Forest weigh up whether to bring the talented forward back to the City Ground early.
Speaking about the loan situation after Tuesday’s 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley in the Papa John’s Trophy, Appleton said: “We’ve got a couple of conversations to have over the next few days.
