Hunter MPs back Voluntary Assisted Dying bill, but one remains undecided and ‘deeply conflicted’

Hunter Valley Labor MPs are all backing a push to allow voluntary assisted dying in New South Wales, but Nationals MP for Upper Hunter David Layzell is still undecided.

Independent MP for Lake Macquarie Greg Piper and fellow Independent Alex Greenwich have co-drafted the bill to allow terminally ill people to end their own lives. 

It has been introduced into the NSW Parliament today and comes almost four years after a similar bill was narrowly voted down by the State’s Upper House.
