A top official within former President Donald Trump’s administration said he doesn’t believe Trump can win against Democrats in 2024. Mick Mulvaney is a former congressman for South Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District and was acting Chief of Staff for President Trump from Jan. 2019 to March 2020. Mulvaney said he believed the former president delivered a strong message during his announcement earlier this month. “I thought, interestingly, if he’d given that speech during 2020, he’d probably be the president today,” he said.
