Durham police charge Oshawa business owners with drug offences

Durham police have arrested two people in connection to a drug investigation in Oshawa.

Police say they seized a quantity of cannabis and cash.

On Tuesday, December 21, officers, with the help of the Drug Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at two businesses on John Street West.

During the search at City Patties and Convenience Plus, police found cash, more than 500 grams of cannabis and other drug paraphernalia.

As a result, charges were laid against owners of both shops.

Andre Rankine, 36, of Oshawa, and Nicole Teelucksingh, 49, of Oshawa were each charged with: possess cannabis for the purpose of selling and sell cannabis to an adult.

Rankine was also charged with posses cannabis for the purpose of distributing and other tobacco-related charges. 

They were both released on Undertakings.
