The City of Fort Morgan is one step closer to creating a business registration and licensing program.
At the Tuesday, Sept. 3, meeting, the Fort Morgan City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance that would amend the city’s municipal code and establish a business registration and licensing program.
The council scheduled a public hearing on the ordinance for the proposed municipal code change for their next meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
“This is a program that would license all service providers and businesses in the city,” Deputy City Manager/City Clerk/Public Information Officer John Brennan explained. “For anybody who does business in the city, and with mechanisms to deal with unusual cases, like mobile food vendors, door-to-door solicitors, as well.”
