The search for the missing retired Andrew High School science teacher continued Thursday as family members joined authorities in searching for the educator who has been missing since Sunday.
Kankakee County sheriff chief deputy Ken McCabe said family members of Dan Jarski, of Grant Park, joined the sheriff’s department team and the Illinois State Police, and searched a hunting area along the Kankakee River with horses and ATVs but turned up “nothing significant.”
The Will County sheriff’s department also sent a contingent to aid in the search, spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said.
Since it is dove season, McCabe said there are “tons of hunters” out there, who are “additional assets” to this ongoing search.
“We will never stop looking. We will keep going and follow every lead. Hopefully, someone saw something,” he said.
