  • James Comey, whom President Donald Trump fired as FBI director in May, says he doesn’t think President Donald Trump is morally fit to be president.
  • “Our president must embody respect and adhere to the values that are at the core of this country,” Comey told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos during an interview that aired Sunday night. “The most important being truth. This president is not able to do that.”
  • When Stephanopoulos asked Comey whether he thought Trump should be impeached, Comey said that US citizens needed to “fight” for American values and that “impeachment, in a way, would short-circuit that.”
